1st Real Estate
This project marks my first experience photographing real estate professionally. Unlike my usual work in street, travel, and documentary photography, the assignment required a different approach—one focused on accurately presenting a space while making it feel inviting and lived in.
Photographing interiors challenged me to pay closer attention to perspective, balance, and the way natural and artificial light interact within a room. While the goal was to showcase the property, I found myself approaching the assignment with the same mindset I bring to other photographic work: observing how light shapes a scene and how composition influences the way a viewer experiences a space.
One of the most rewarding parts of the process came during post-processing. Rather than relying entirely on automated HDR or exposure-stacking tools, I enjoyed manually blending multiple exposures to achieve a more natural result. The process gave me greater control over highlights, shadows, and color, while allowing me to preserve the atmosphere of each room. It was a slower and more deliberate approach, but one that I found both challenging and satisfying.
While different from the projects I typically pursue, this assignment broadened my understanding of photography and demonstrated how the same principles of observation, light, and composition can be applied across different genres. As my first professional real estate shoot, it represents both a milestone and a valuable learning experience in my photographic journey.
