Hajimemashite Nippon

Hajimemashite Nippon began during a work assignment to Japan between September 2022 and February 2023, where I carried my first camera and photographed the places that shaped my first experience of the country through a simple kit lens. What started as a hesitant introduction became a journey of wonder, overwhelm, understanding, and affection. Through everyday moments, landscapes, and the subcultures that first drew me there, these photographs trace a growing appreciation for a place that never stopped revealing itself.. By the end, there was only one conclusion: it couldn't be helped.
