Hisashiburi Nippon
Three years after Hajimemashite Nippon, I returned to Japan for a much shorter journey. Unlike my first visit, which spanned six months and was filled with discovery, this return lasted only eight days. The unfamiliar had become familiar, and I found myself navigating the country with a greater sense of comfort and confidence. Hisashiburi Nippon reflects the perspective of a returning visitor. With limited time and the mindset of a tourist, the project focuses on revisiting places, embracing familiar experiences, and observing how both the photographer and the country are perceived differently with the passage of time. If Hajimemashite Nippon was a first introduction, Hisashiburi Nippon is a reunion.
